He Had Heart Surgery at 16 Days Old
I was greeted to parenthood with one of the most difficult challenges I have ever faced. In December 2015, I became the ecstatic father of twin boys. My heart fell when they informed me that they took the smallest one to the NICU after only a few hours of his birth.
When you have a kid, it’s never crossed your mind. It’s something you don’t think about. The concept of one of them dying. But I had to face the prospect and consider it carefully. My smallest son was on life support and needed heart surgery.
