Hi, I’m Alejandro.
I write Thinking Through It every week as a kind of antidote to the fast takes, dopamine loops, and shallow advice that flood our feeds. This isn’t a newsletter to help you hustle harder. It’s a place to slow down and sit with the stuff that matters: belief, identity, change, and being human — in all its beauty, contradiction, and weirdness.
It’s personal. It’s philosophical. And it’s written by someone (me) who’s a founder, executive coach, and single dad — still figuring things out, out loud.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re supposed to have all the answers but can’t stop questioning everything… welcome. You’re not alone.
What to Expect
✍️ One weekly essay — thoughtful, sometimes funny, often uncomfortable
📚 Honest reflections, stories, and questions (not lectures)
🌀 Topics like belief systems, identity shifts, meaning-making, change, parenting, and the occasional existential unravelling
🤝 A community of quietly curious readers who prefer depth over dopamine
Coming Soon: Thinking Through Books
I’ve been recommending a book at the end of almost every essay for years. Soon, I’ll experiment with a reading club — one book every month (or two), slowly read, freely discussed, no pressure. If that sounds like something you’d join, stay tuned or drop a comment in the [Note I wrote about it]:
A Few Places to Start
Here are a few essays that’ll give you a feel for what this place is about:
The Bright Side of Thinking Dark
“He who fears death will never do anything worthy of a man who is alive.”
Thanks for being here. Whether you’re a long-time reader or just wandered in — I’m glad you’re here. Really.
If any post hits home, feel free to reply or share. I read every note.
