The age-old question of whether opposites or familiarity attract has puzzled scholars and lovers for centuries.

Some claim that we are drawn to those who are different, as they help broaden our horizons and provide new perspectives. Others argue that we are creatures of habit and that we seek out partners who share our values and lifestyle.

Both arguments have some truth, but the answer may depend more on individual circumstances than on any universal truth.

In the end, what matters most is not whether our partner is different from us or familiar to us, but whether a connection with them goes beyond the physical.
