Control is an integral part of life, used in various contexts. Control can be both a blessing and a curse: utilized correctly, it can be an invaluable tool in achieving whatever you desire, but if you abuse it or we don’t consider the consequences, it can lead to the destruction — of relationships, projects, and ourselves.
We all struggle with control issues, needing some certainty or power over our lives.
But, we must practice balance and moderation if we want to use control effectively and not suffer its damaging repercussions.
We should embrace grey areas instead of clinging to black-and-white narratives to ensure we avoid becoming entrapped by overusing control mechanisms.
To this end, I propose a different approach to the world — one that is based on understanding how best to exert control when necessary but also accepting when it’s better to let go.
