Ego is a part of who we are. It makes us feel like we are important and that we matter. It also makes us feel better than others, which can be good or bad depending on the circumstance.

However, there are many downsides to the ego as well. It can make us feel like no one else matters but ourselves and that they should cater to our needs before their own. 

It can also make us do things that go against what we believe in to satisfy our desires and needs instead of thinking about other people’s feelings or what is best for the group.

In some cases, ego can be helpful. It can drive us to achieve great things that we would never have thought possible. It can also help us feel more confident in ourselves and our abilities.
